Darren 'HACKSAW' Berry, 2000 Australian Champion, trainer and promoter has been at the forefront of Muay Thai for many years.
He combines knowledge obtained through fighting, training and coaching experience with a strong belief in, and familiarity of local talent to bring together evenly matched fights in entertaining and well organised promotions, which he is doing again for the 20th time, this April 2009.
Take note that this promoter, has also brought to NSW for the first time FTR (Full Thai Rules) Women’s Championship, plus FTR 4man and 4 women eliminators.
Coaching fulltime, he trains not just sports/life style enthusiasts but also local fighters preparing them in every aspect of the Muay Thai system from clinch and grapple techniques through to strike based sparing in his private gym alongside the famous Bondi Beach.
Coming from Humble beginnings, Hacksaw strives to continue developing Muay Thai inspiring others by example and promoting the sport at a local level and across Australia with full sanctioning of the W.M.C
